What is Stia Plantsitter?

Stia Plantsitter is a cushion made from upcycled materials that keeps your plants hydrated for up to 28 days. Just soak it, place it on the soil, and it releases moisture gradually—so you can travel, rest, or just forget to water without worry.

How does it work? 

The cushion absorbs water and slowly releases it back into the soil over time. No batteries, no electronics—just smart, simple moisture management.

How do I use Stia? 

  • Soak the cushion in water for 10–15 minutes.
  • Place it on the moist soil of your plant pot.
  • Let it do the rest—up to 28 days of hydration!

How many cushions for my pot? 

  • XS (up to 15 cm): 1 S cushion
  • S (15–25 cm): 2 S cushions
  • M (25–35 cm): 1 M cushion
  • L (35–45 cm): 2 M cushions
  • XL+ (45+ cm): 3+ M cushions or as needed to cover the surface

How long does it last?

Each cushion offers hydration support for up to 28 days depending on temperature, sunlight, and the plant’s needs.

What is Stia Orchidsitter?

A tailored hydration cushion for orchids. Designed to sit beneath the orchid in its decorative pot, it releases just the right amount of humidity without overwatering.

How do I use it?

  • Place the cushion at the bottom of a decorative pot.
  • Place your orchid (in its plastic pot) on top.
  • Pour 200ml of water over the orchid.
  • Relax—your orchid is cared for for around one month.
  • After 1 month-check if they cushion is dry. Pour half a cup over the orchid.
  • It can last up to a year, after which it looses from its efficacy

(Note: in very hot or dry rooms, the period may be shorter.)


How long can I use it?

Stia Plantsitter has optimum efficiency the first 28 days it is used. You can use it again continuously or next time you go on holiday. Repeat the process of activating it for 30 minutes. The efficacity might be shortened the more times it is used.

Care

It’s lightweight, non-toxic, and designed to do one thing very well: keep you dry.
Is it washable?
You can rinse it gently with water. Avoid detergents—natural is best.

Does it mold?
No, as long as you allow it to dry between uses. Always place on moist soil and avoid standing water.

Stia is made with love in North Macedonia, using reclaimed materials and local labor.
